User Permission Groups for New SAM

A user group is a collection of users who are all given the same set of permissions. This makes new user groups easy to manage and provides clarity on who can do what within SAM.

Different user groups have different levels of permissions. This helps to:

  • Make training easier, as it is based on what the user needs to know.
  • Keep SAM cleaner, as users are limited to the functions they understand and are required to use.

The different user groups are:

  • AC Manager
  • Senior AC Worker
  • Mid AC Worker
  • Entry AC Worker
  • Volunteer
  • Bookkeeper
  • Web designer

To easily understand which user groups can perform which functions in new SAM, we have created these three icons:

The eye means that this user has permission to View.

The pencil means that this user has permission to Edit.

The rubbish bin means that this user has permission to Delete.
