Export help
Includes: explanation on exporting to MYOB and QuickBooks, as well as how to print reports.
Printing
- Go to: [Accounts] > [Exports]
- To view/print the next export, choose a report without selecting any previous exports (click on either [Exports] or [MYOB Payments])
- To unselect any exports (for viewing the next export), click on the [Refresh] button at the gird's bottom left corner
- Choose the format you wish to view/print the report
- You can then [Print] or [Save As] the report in selected format
Exporting
- Go to: [Accounts] > [Exports]
- Select a date you wish to export up to:
- The export will be between the [Last Export Date] and the [To Date] selected
- The [To Date] can only be later than the [Last Export Date]
- Click on [Export] and confirm to export
Previous Exports
- Go to: [Accounts] > [Exports]
- Select the export you wish to view/print from the [Exports] list
- Select a report (click on either [Exports] or [MYOB Payments])
- Choose the format you wish to view/print report
- You can then [Print] or [Save As] the report in selected format
Importing into MYOB (ver. 19-20)
NB: You must import new customers first otherwise sales to those customers will not import.
NB: This can be done over and over, so if the reporting format is not correct, it can be corrected and redone.
- Go to: [Accounts] > [Exports]
- Select the export you wish to view/print from the [Exports] list
- Select the Report for [Customers], then Choose [Export], this will prompt you to save a file, do so and name in to "Customers" saving it to a location you know like Desktop (you can delete later)
- Select the Report for [Sales], then Choose [Export], this will prompt you to save a file, do so and name in to "Sales" saving it to a location you know like Desktop (you can delete later)
- Select the Report for [SpendMoney], then Choose [Export], this will prompt you to save a file, do so and name in to "SpendMoney" saving it to a location you know like Desktop (you can delete later)
- Open MYOB
- Customer:
- Go to: File > Import Data > Cards > Customer Cards
- Change [Duplicate records] "Update existing", Change [Identify records by] "Co./LastName" then [Continue]
- Find and choose the "Customers" file you saved, click [Open]
- [Match all], check that fields have in fact matched
- Click [Import], if error's note the log file contact SAM for help, don't import again or log file will be overwritten.
- Sales:
- Go to: File > Import Data > Sales > Professional Sales
- Change [Duplicate records] "Add them", Change [Identify records by] "Co./LastName" then [Continue]
- Find and choose the "Sales" file you saved, click [Open]
- [Match all], check that fields have in fact matched
- Click [Import], if error's note the log file contact SAM for help, don't import again or log file will be overwritten
- Spend money:
- Go to: File > Import Data > Disbursements > SpendMoney
- Change [Duplicate records] "Add them", Change [Identify records by] "Co./LastName" then [Continue]
- Find and choose the "SpendMoney" file you saved, click [Open]
- [Match all], check that fields have in fact matched
- Click [Import], if error's note the log file contact SAM for help, don't import again or log file will be overwritten
Importing into QuickBooks Online
NB: Requires Excel as well as QuickBooks
NB: This also requires App "Transaction Pro Importer/Exporter" ~$12.50US Per month
You will need to connect it to QBO, this is straight forward login to QBO and follow this link and prompts https://importer.transactionpro.com/
- Go to: [Accounts] > [Exports]
- Select the export you wish to view/print from the [Exports] list
- Select the Report for [QuickBooks Online], then Choose [Save to Excel], this will prompt you to save a file, do so and name in to "QuickBooks Online" saving it to a location you know like Desktop (you can delete later)
- Login to: QuickBooks Online, and Login to Transaction Pro Importer/Exporter
- From Transaction Pro Importer/Exporter
- [Choose Import Type] - (top left side)
- Choose [Customers]
- Upload the file which you saved to your desktop
- This will then be ready when a Green tick appears on the file
- [Select File and Sheet] - (Bottom right)
- Choose [Import Customer] (or which Type your up to) - (Bottom right)
- Match Columns, this should auto match, please double check ... there is no Shipping fields
- [Preview and import] - (Bottom right)
- Transaction to Import - Click [Import] - Confirm (you can uncheck records you don't want to import here)
- Once imported repeat from steps 6 to 14 for each of the following types, Invoices, Sales receipts, Credit Memos, Checks (note some maybe empty)
Importing into QuickBooks

- Go to: QuickBooks
- Go to: File > Import
- Find and choose the file you just saved, click [Import]
Importing into Xero
NB: This can be done over and over, so if the reporting format is not correct, it can be corrected and redone.
Xero Sales
- Go to: [Accounts] > [Exports]
- Select the export you wish to view/print from the [Exports] list
- Select the Report for [Xero Sales], then Choose [Export to Xero], this will prompt you to save a file or just download the file.
- Go to: Xero
- Go to: Business > Invoices > [Import]
- Browse and find the file you just saved, click [Import]
Xero Payments
- Go to: [Accounts] > [Exports]
- Select the export you wish to view/print from the [Exports] list
- Select the Report for [Xero Payments], then Choose [Export to Xero], this will prompt you to save a file or just download the file.
- Go to: Xero
- Go to: Accounting > Manual Journals > [Import]
- Browse and find the file you just saved, click [Import]
