  1. Entering customer details into sales directly

    Can it be possible to enter customer details directly into each invoice (email, name, address, phone number), instead of manually creating a new customer each time in another window. With the amount of sales coming through it is a huge task to create each customer in a separate window. That way, we can send out the invoice/artwork certificate etc as soon as we enter the invoice.
    And then we can keep the 'customers' section for consignments and regular customers.

  2. customer details

    When viewing a sale, it would be great to be able to see the customer details or click through to customer profile - such as phone number and email address, without having to exit the sale screen.

    Also adding in if an item has been posted, and even a place to add in tracking details would be great.

  5. Create a User Access with Limited Access only: CATALOUGE + SEARCH + CONSIGN

    Often you have a Volunteer or a Staff Member work for your business for a short term contract. You do not want the person to have full access to sales, financial accounts, and artist accounts for your organisation, however you do want them to be able to perform simple and useful tasks such as:
    - Catalouge Artworks
    - Search Artworks & Consignments
    - Add Consignments
    I thought there was already a volunteer account set up like this, however there simply is not and it would be extremely useful to have this limited user account available.

  6. Request Independent Jobs for SAM & be Invoiced as an Independent Art Centre / Business

    Be able to independently contact Comp Net (Adam) and request for a specific report, user access, or other request to be created for your own art centre, and be able to create a job and be invoiced as an independent art centre for the work. Each Art Centre operates slightly differently and has their own business needs and requests.

  7. Forward dating Artists Payments

    Artists payments can currently be entered 1 week in advance only. Should an artist want a particularly large payment over 4 weeks, you need to go back in to rekey the additional payments. If the dates were opened further, you would be able to prekey future dated payments, reducing the double handling of a single transaction.

  8. SAM API: get separate artist names via the RetrieveArtistDetails function

    Right now it's only possible to retrieve a (compiled) ArtistName via the RetrieveArtistDetails function. It'd be useful to be able to also get each of the names separately (First Name, Surname, Other Name, Traditional Name)

    Would be very useful for hiding culturally sensitive information of deceased artists on websites (e.g. photos)

  10. SAM API: retrieve all artwork images

    It's possible to upload multiple artwork images to SAM but it's not possible to pull them to a website via the API. This would be particularly handy for 3D objects as buyers need to see them from different angles.

  12. Stocktake issue

    I think it would be easier if the stocktake could be spilt between merchandise and artworks so that it is easier at end of fiscal year to monitor merchandise for audit purposes. Artwork does not have to be stocktaked for audit purposes

  13. Products - Add story, Images, API, sizing etc.

    Create functionality similar to Artworks but for merchandise.
    Would be great if we could have cups, plates, mugs, fashion etc in one spot & for it to come online with the API.

    Add Product is now similar to artworks, under search you have products and under cataloguing you have add products.
    This now has a lot more details for each product including images.
    These can be all accessed via the API aswell

  14. would be possible to batch upload a folder of artwork images to SAM, if they were named the same as the catalogue number?

    I would like to suggest the creation of a function to batch upload a folder of artwork images to SAM, if they were named the same as the catalogue number. This would mean that every so often, you could upload a heap of images of artworks rather than going into each artwork's maintenance page and upload images individually.

  15. Create function to accept donations through SAM

    We would like to be able to accept donations through SAM. It would be great to be able to process one transaction for artwork sales and donations.

    Instead of 'Artwork Maintenance' page have 'Artwork Information' or 'Artist Information' not 'Artist Maintenance'.

  19. Integrate SAM with Accounting Software such as Xero or QuickBook.

    Integrating SAM with any accounting software would automate and simplify a lot of manual process in terms of replicating sales data information from SAM to any financial system. It would also provide greater visibility in terms of sales for both the art centre and the finance for example invoice generated in SAM should be automatically feeding straight to the financial system and payment of invoices should be the same where the finance team receives payment and art centres should be able to automatically looking at paid invoices in SAM. The current system of exporting is time consuming (very labour intensive).…

    Yes you can export your data from SAM into MYOB, QuickBooks and Xero. If you would like to know more you can go to http://feedback.sam.org.au/knowledgebase/articles/833760-export-help and look at the importing into accounting software information. YOu can also email support@sam.org.au for assistance with this, We have a SAM Training session in 20 & 21 Feb 2018 if you would like to attend the Day 2 there will be information on exporting. Email sam@desart.com.au to register.
