‘quality’ grade field
when cataloguing, to have a new field added to the process to enable users to select a ‘quality’ grade for each painting/ artist (eg A= exhibition quality work, B= usual/ average quality, C= marketplace/ sale quality).
ie - An artists is graded within the ‘A’ category for pricing her works, but the quality between their works vary widely.
If A is selected works would be priced at 100% of prices as entered into ‘Price Manager’.
B = 80%
C = 60%5 votes

Tracking artworks from other art centres
We use SAM to manage our own artists works, products, but also artworks from other art centres that we show in exhibitions. We need a means to track the trajectory of these artworks clearly for everyone - so that would include artworks incoming - artworks sold - and artworks returned to original art centre.2 votes
Add a 'value added' component to an art work
Our Art Centre adds metal strapping to bark paintings for hanging. Also some artworks are repaired or a base is put on a carving that doesn't stand up properly, etc. We would like to add the cost of these 'value added' to the price of the art work, but not have it as part of the artists account. Not exactly how to do it but maybe a field in the initial catalogue area. Value added - Description - Cost. This cost then gets added to the price. Maybe it needs to be free of any Markup percentages.1 vote

Would be SO brilliant if could tick boxes and then bulk edit price of works instead of going into each work individually and editing the price.1 vote
extra field for original price
at the moment the sales price is changed to the price sold. In order to also have the original price, which can vary from the sales price, it would be good to have an additional field. So instead of just sales price, it could be original price and then sales price.1 vote
Options for 'Details' when making an artist payment
It would be better if the art centre had control over what appeared in the drop down dialogue/menu box to describe the type of artist payment being made.
Currently every art centre has the same drop down menu.
We only use one option - Artist payment, but could do with Royalty payment, Purchase order.1 vote
Adding a 'Sent to Adelaide Gallery' Status
Please can I request an additional status:
'Sent to Adelaide Gallery'
so any works sent to our other gallery can be correctly records.
Thank you kindly,
It would be really helpful if we were able to add artwork weights while cataloging i.e. on the cataloging table before activation.
This would make sure weights are not overlooked or forgotten, which is important for web sales.1 vote
An editable 'Sale' price for artworks
To have an additional, editable, price field for an artwork, allowing a work to be manually assigned a different discounted price, whilst still maintaining the records of the RRP/ACD/WS prices which have been calculated via the price manager.
Currently we have to override the default price if we want to list an artwork as discounted, which erases the record of how it was priced previously.
To also have the capacity for this price to be displayed on the online shop.1 vote
The first part can be achieved by using the discount column, but you really should have the discount column added to your Sales Receipt otherwise its confusing. The 2nd part is under Review
Could we add Clan/Tribe and Story fields to the promotions
This would allow potential buyers to know where about the artist is from (which part of Australia) in case they want to use an artist local to their area and to read the story behind the artwork and help them select an appropriate artwork to buy.1 voteplanned · 0 comments · Admin →

When artworks are returned from a consignment that were previously marked as Web Active (W.A.) they do not go back to being automatically Web Active (W.A.) once they are returned.1 vote

Managing Image licensing
A way that SAM can manage the licences of an image and record the details of each time it is used. This could be attached to Artwork Information to record that this artwork has had an image licence completed on it and record the customer details as to who has received the licence etc0 votes
